200 Vietnamese Dong Coin Design
The Vietnamese 200 Dong front design features the Vietnamese Coat of Arms. The reverse coin design has the legend “State Bank of Vietnam”, the denomination, and a traditional decorative pattern. This coin is part of the 2003 series. It has a plain rim, and its color is silver-white.

The Vietnamese Dong is the official currency in Vietnam, and its introduction to the country occurred in 2 different stages; North Vietnam began its introduction in 1946, replacing the piastre of French Indochina. South Vietnam started the exchange process in 1953. After the unification of Vietnam in 1978.
The National Bank of Vietnam introduced the first aluminum coins in 1,2 and 5 hao denominations.
The new coins, minted by the Mint of Finland, were in denominations of 200, 500, 1,000, 2,000, and 5,000 đồng in either nickel-clad steel or brass-clad steel.
