100 Uzbekistani som Coin Design
The 100 Uzbekistani commemorative coin front design features the National Coat of Arms. The reverse of the coin design presents the Monument to the Independence of Uzbekistan in Tashkent and the denomination. This coin is part of the 2009 commemorative series, its rim is segmented, and its color is silver.

The soʻm has been the official currency of Uzbekistan since 1993, when it replaced the ruble at par. The word soʻm means “pure” in Kyrgyz, Uyghur, and Uzbek.
It introduced a coin series in denominations of 1 to 50 tiyin and 1, 5, and 10 soʻm. Then, in 2000 and 2004, the bank introduced the second series in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 50, and 100 10 soʻm.
In 2018, the bank introduced the third coin series in denominations of 50, 100, 200, and 500 soʻm.
The previous series of coins in those coin denominations will be withdrawn by the middle of 2020.
