Description

The Tunisian dinar is the official currency of Tunisia since 1960, after being established as an accounting unit in 1958 and replaced the franc. The same year, the Central Bank of Tunisia issued coin in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100. A 1/2 dinar coin was introduced in 1968 to replace the banknote.

The 2 Algerian millièmes coin front design feature the oak tree and the issue date. The reverse coin design has the denomination surrounded by two olive branches. This coin is part of the 1960 series. Its rim is fluted, and its color is silver.
