Description

The Tunisian dinar is the official currency of Tunisia since 1960, after being established as an accounting unit in 1958 and replaced the franc. The same year, the Central Bank of Tunisia issued coin in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100. A 1/2 dinar coin was introduced in 1968 to replace the banknote.

The 2 Algerian dinars coin front design feature and issue date in the Islamic and Gregorian calendar. The reverse coin design illustrates the Carthage Punic Harbour and the denomination. This coin is part of the 2013 (1434) series. Its rim is plain, and its color is silver.
