2 Singapore Dollars Banknote Design
The 2 Singapore dollars note front design features the portrait of Yusof bin Ishak (1910 –1970), the first president of Singapore. The note’s reverse illustrates an educational Victoria Bridge School, also the Old Raffles Institution Building on Bras Basah Road, and the Building from the Faculty of Medicine. This note is part of the 2006 – 2019 series, and its color is purple-brown and has a multicolor underprint.

In 1967 Singapore introduced The Singapore dollar after Singapore established the Board of Currency Commissioners.
The first banknotes introduced were in denominations of $ 1 to $ 10,000.
Singapore has Four series of banknotes; That is, Orchid Series (1967 – 1976), Brid Series (1976 – 1984), Barco Series (1984 – 1999), and Portrait Series (1999 – present).
Today, banknotes in denominations of $ 2, $ 5, $ 10, $ 50, $ 100 circulate. However there are denominations of $ 1, $ 20, $ 25, and $ 500, which are rarely used, in addition to $ 1,000 and $ 10,000 notes which are only used for intragovernmental transactions.
