Description

The Russian ruble is the official currency of the Russian Federation. The official currency symbol; ₽ – р / коп – к. The ruble has been used in the Russian territories since the 14th century. The current Russian ruble was introduced in December 1991 and used at par with the Soviet ruble, which was replaced entirely in September 1993. In 1991, the State Bank introduced notes in denominations of 200, 500, and 1000 rubles, followed by a Russian Federation named notes of 5000 and 1000 rubles in 1992, 50,000 rubles in 1993, 10,000 and 500,000 rubles in 1995. In 1998, the Government redenominated the Russian and introduced new banknotes of 5 ₽, 10 ₽, 50 ₽, 100 ₽, and 500 ₽, followed by the 1,000 ₽ in 2001, 5,000 ₽ in 2006, 200 ₽ and 2,000 ₽ in 2017.

The 10 Russian rubles note front design illustrates the Paraskeva Pyatnitsa Chapel and the arch bridge across the Yenisey river, located in Krasnoyarsk city, followed by the Bank of Russia logo in the upper-right corner. The reverse of the note illustrates the Krasnoyarsk hydroelectric dam in the Yenisey River. The lettering of the note is presented in the Russian language. This note is part of the 1997 – 2004 series, and its color is dark brown and dark gray on a multicolor underprint.
