Do you have a Mexico 10 Centavos Coin? Here’s how to exchange it with us.
The Mexican Peso is the official currency in Mexico. The first coin was issued in 1863 in centavos and peso denominations. In 1992, the United Mexican States’ Monetary System introduced a new monetary system called “Nuevo peso”. The Bank of Mexico issued a series of coins in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50 cents and 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 pesos.
The 10 Centavos coin front design features the National Coat of Arms of Mexico (made up of a Mexican eagle perched on a flowered nopal, ready to devour a snake. Two branches, one oak in front of the eagle and another of laurel on the opposite side). The reverse coin design has the denomination, the symbol of the Mint “M°” and at right, a stylization of the Ring of the Sacrifice of the Stone of the Sun. This coin is part of the series D-2009 series, its rim is with perimeter groove, and its color is silver.
