The Gibraltar pound is the official currency of Gibraltar since 1934. The reverse of the coin illustrates a representation of Operation Torch (an Allied invasion of French North Africa during the Second World War) with three militaries from different governments together and the denomination. This coin is part of the 2012 – 2013 commemorative series “The Anglo- American Operation Torch 1942”. Its rim is plain, and its color is bronze.
