Denmark 1 Krone 1974
The Denmark 1 Krone 1974 is the official currency of Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands. The name is derived from the word “krone”, which means crown. In addition the official currency symbol: kr. The introduction of the first krone in Denmark dates to 1619. In the 18th century, a new krone was introduced, replacing the Danish rigsdaler. In 1876, a new krone was introduced due to the Scandinavian Monetary Union, of which they are part of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
Then in 1914, The Monetary Union was dissolved, and the three states members decided to keep the name on their respective currency.

The reason why of the Denmark Krone
All coins issued after 1875 with a value of 50 øre and more remain legal tender and can be exchanged for new coins, unlike the 25 øre coin, which ceased to be legal tender in October 2008. Then today, coins circulate in 50 øre and 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20 kroner denominations.
