The Canada 5 Dollars (1954 Bank of Canada) is the official currency in Canada.
The first paper money issued in the country was the British army’s notes since 1813 and 1815.
The Canadian dollar had an initial introduction dating from the 1830s, and in 1871, after all the government approved the Uniform Currency Act to unify the currency in all Provinces of the country. Currently are circulating banknotes in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 dollars.
The 5 Dollars note front design features English texts on the left and French texts on the right. On the right is a portrait of Elizabeth II, the new Queen of England and the Commonwealth.
