The Canada 1 Dollar (1923 Dominion of Canada) is the official currency in Canada.
The first paper money issued in the country was the British army’s notes since 1813 and 1815.
The Canadian dollar had an initial introduction dating from the 1830s, and in 1871, after all the government approved the Uniform Currency Act to unify the currency in all Provinces of the country. Currently are circulating banknotes in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 dollars.
The 1 Dollar note front design features in an oval in the middle, a portrait of king George V with the mention “Dominion of Canada” just above. On the left side, the word “ONE” and on the right side, a seal.
On the back, In the middle, a view of the Library of the Parliament in Ottawa with the lettering “Dominion of Canada” just above.
