The Canada 1 Dollar (1920 Department of Public Works) is the official currency in Canada.
The first paper money issued in the country was the British army’s notes since 1813 and 1815.
The Canadian dollar had an initial introduction dating from the 1830s, and in 1871, after all the government approved the Uniform Currency Act to unify the currency in all Provinces of the country. Currently are circulating banknotes in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 dollars.
The 1 Dollar note front design features in the center, in a decorative form, the face value of the banknote. In an oval on the left is a portrait of King George V, and on the right is an illustration of a caribou printed in blue.
On the back, the official seal of Newfoundland at center supported by a ship on the left side and an anchor on the right side. The value “1” and “ONE” in the corners and all around.
The color of the banknote is black and blue.
