The Canada 1 Dollar (1917 Dominion of Canada) is the official currency in Canada.
The first paper money issued in the country was the British army’s notes since 1813 and 1815.
The Canadian dollar had an initial introduction dating from the 1830s, and in 1871, after all the government approved the Uniform Currency Act to unify the currency in all Provinces of the country. Currently are circulating banknotes in denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 dollars.
The 1 Dollar note front design features A black and white frame with decorative shapes including the value of the “1” & “ONE” banknote. In the middle in an oval is a portrait of Patricia Ramsey, Princess of Connaught. Above, the words “The Dominion of Canada” and on either side of the portrait the serial numbers printed in red.
On the back, A green and white frame with decorative shapes including the value of banknote “1”. In the middle, a view of the Ottawa Parliament Building.
The color of the banknote is black and green.
