Description
The Bosnia and Herzegovina convertible mark is the official currency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The international official currency symbol; KM. After the Dayton Agreement in 1995 (General Framework Agreement for Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina), the currency was introduced to replace the Bosnia and Herzegovina dinar, Croatian kuna, and Republika Srpska dinar in 1988. Consequently, the Central Bank of Bosnia Herzegovina introduced coins in denominations of 10, 20, and 50 fenings/pfenigs, followed by the 1, 2, and 5 marks coins, which were introduced a few years later.
The 5 Bosnia and Herzegovina konvertibilnh coin front design features a dove of peace in flight with an olive branch in its beak, the country’s name, and the issue date. The reverse of the coin illustrates the denomination followed by the country’s name. Both sides of the coin have four triangles near the edge; two on the top and two on the bottom to indicate the denomination to people with visual disabilities. This coin is part of the 2005- 2009 series, its rim is fluted, and its color is gold and silver.
