Do you have a Belize 10 Dollars Banknote? Here’s how to exchange it with us.
The Belize dollar is the official currency in Belize since 1978. Belize was a part of British Honduras where the Spanish Dollars circulated between 1765 and 1825. In 1894, the government issued notes in denominations of 100, 50, 10, 5, 2 and 1 Dollar. But, after 1928, the 50 and 100 dollars banknotes were putting out of production. Then, in 1973, British Honduras has renamed Belize, and the first 100 Dollar banknote was issued one year later. The government established the Monetary Authority of Belize as an official printer until 1982 when The Central Bank of Belize was created and beginning the banknote productions one year later.
The 10 Dollars note front design features Queen Elizabeth II’s portrait (Queen of the United Kingdom and 15 other commonwealth realms), a design of the queen Trigger-fish, the queen Angel-fish, the Belize’s Coat of Arms and the Belize Court House. The reverse note side has the image of Government House and Court House (1910) and the St. John’s Cathedral. This note is part of the 2003 – 2017 series and, its black, green, red, and ochre with multicolor underprint.
