Description
The florin is the official currency in Aruba since 1986, replacing the Netherland Antillean guilder. The Central Bank of Aruba issued notes in denominations of 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 florin, then in 1993, the 500 florin note was introduced, and the 5 florin note was substituted by coin in 1995. The Central Bank of Aruba issued a new banknote series with 10, 20, 50 and a new 200 florin denomination. Currently, these series are circulating.
The 50 Florin note front features a Crab (Leptuca cumulanta), Sea purslane (Sesuvium portulacastrum). The reverse note side has Willem III Tower, Fort Zoutman (Oranjestad). This note is part of the 2019 polymer series and, its color is Red on a multicolor underprint. (148 x 74 mm)
