Argentina 10 Pesos

Description

The peso is the official currency in Argentina since 1992, and it replaced the austral. The government introduced a banknotes series with 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 pesos. A coin replaced the 1 peso note. In 2016 the Banco Central de la República de Argentina announced a new banknotes series adding 200 and 500 denominations. One year later, the 1000 pesos note were issued.

The 10 Pesos note front features Manuel Belgrano (1770 – 1820), who was an Argentine economist, lawyer, politician, journalist, and military leader. A plot with the representation of the front of the Monument to the Flag. It is supported by the monument that recreates Belgrano in his military role and the Tambor de Tacuarí, evoking the boy Pedro Ríos who accompanied the army encouraging the troops to roll his drum, who was killed in the Battle of Tacuarí. The reverse note side has Juana Azurduy de Padilla and Manuel Belgrano on horseback with swords raised to the New Flag. This note is part of the 2015 – 2020 series and, its color is brown, red and multicolor.
